Treasure Island with Tom Bosley

The Jimmy P-town Show presents a radio drama based on Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. This episode aired in 1977 as part of the General Mills Radio Adventure series.
A series that was part of the revival of radio's golden age in the 1970s. Broadcast on Saturday and Sunday evenings for 26 weekends and hosted by TV's Tom Bosley. It was a program directed at a younger audience, with the shows adapted from the works of Robert Louis Stevenson, Herman Melville, James Fenimore Cooper, Jules Verne, Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Dickens, Rudyard Kipling, Sir Walter Scott and others; all classical and well recognized by the public.

Tom Bosley would introduce each episode by saying,"Welcome to the world of your own making....Welcome to the world of radio drama, a theater whose stage has no limits but your imagination - where adventure is yours for the listening, where you can be anything you dream - armored knight, lovely princess, magician or monster, hero or even villain. Sail seas, scale mountains, explore galaxies, all in your mind."

Sit back and enjoy the swashbuckling tale of young Jim Hawkins and notorious Long John Silver hosted by Happy Days' Mr. C
