The Legend of Pele & The Story of California

For your listening pleasure, The Jimmy P-Town Show presents two tales from two different states, Hawaii and California.

The first is the Legend of Pele, The Fire Goddess, as told by Kamokila. Off the album, "Legends of Hawaii", released in 1962.

The second is a musical narrative of California. The 1948 Decca album, "Manhattan Tower/California Suite", combined mood music, original songs, spoken narration, dialog, and sound effects lead by Gordon Jenkins. A historic view of California consisting mostly of short, impressionistic songs of the golden state.

Show #3

Ahoy Mateys! and welcome aboard the Jimmy P-Town Show. This time around we are setting sail on the vintage vinyl seas, for a nautical themed show. With a wide variety of music, all dealing with the ocean, and those that live near it.

So sit back and relax and listen to what the Thrift Store tide brings in!

The Storm and the Sea, Sounds for Love

Here is a record I found at a Goodwill Thrift Store, The Storm and the Sea; Sounds for Love.
Recorded in 1974 by Brad Miller, the man behind "Mobile Fidelity" & "Mystic Moods"
There's only 2 tracks, one for each side of the album and its strictly sounds of the ocean and of a storm. Something different, but something cool too, enjoy.
